Tri-tip Cook-off: The results are in!

Thanks to everyone who came out to Kearney Park Saturday for our first Tri-tip Cook-off! It was all kinds of awesome. (Five days later, we have recovered from a delicious meat-induced coma...) The long awaited, highly anticipated tri-tip competition we'd been talking about since last year brought more than 75 people out to the park. The weather was perfect, the kids were happy, and the contestants brought their best for the main event. Tri-tip King: Travis Sheridan (here’s the winning recipe)
People’s Choice: Kiel Famellos-Schmidt (garlic tri-tip, anyone?)
Best Side Dish: Sarah Campbell (couscous salad with raisins, cranberries, pecans and parsely)

Each tri-tip was judged (by some amazing experts) on presentation, taste and texture. The People’s Choice and Best Side Dish competition were judged by everyone with a fork in hand.
