Fair enough

This year’s fair makes four consecutive years that I’ve skipped the festivities; coincidentally, I’ve live in Fresno just over four years. I’m just not into fairs. Besides, I can listen in on most of the festivities from my home in Sunnyside.

Honestly, one of the least appealing aspects of the Fresno Fair, for me, is the food. I hale from Louisiana, so I’m no stranger to fried anything, but after moving to the Valley I prefer much fresher foods. Last year’s Krispy Kreme/chicken combo, this year’s fried White Castle—it all sounds rather unappealing.

Of course, if I’m being completely honest, I’m not big on crowds, and the fair draws quite a large one. So what am I missing?
