I first "met" Marisa (aka @oneheavenlyhart) on Twitter, but we didn't formally meet until earlier this year, when we competed against each other in the Blogger Olympics (you'll note that she was one of the two people I outranked).
Marisa blogs regularly about her life, but she's decided to channel her passion for food into a new series of cooking shows, found at One Heavenly Kitchen. The catch: she's a "strict" vegetarian—she swears that her meat-loving friends love her cooking, though.
I'm excited to see local foodies trying out emerging technologies and sharing with the rest of us. Without further ado, the pilot episode:
Marisa has also recorded an introduction—watch it, and read more about Marisa, on the new blog.

I think this is the first sexual harassment comment on TasteFresno - perhaps there should be a prize?

While I think we can all agree that Marisa is fine, maybe the anonymous person was just saying she is okay or just fine, since he used "your".... no Marisa is just fine.

Nice video!
But please! When you cut the onion, do the slice down the center first so you can sit it on it's newly flat surface to cut in the other direction. All those slices on a rolling onion were making me nervous for your fingers!

I really wanted to make the show as accurate to my cooking style as possible. The suspense of me possibly taking the camera crew on location to the hospital is all part of my shtick, don't you know?
HaHa - Thanks though! I'll do better, I promise!

i agree that you should just be like you always are. however, i also agree on the importance of knife handling. an episode idea maybe?!!
good job. very natural. i would edit it a bit quicker however, and perhaps give us a hero shot of your completed dish. liked the little pop ups and the cameo by your dog :o)
