The internet feeds me non-stop entertainment. Non. Stop. I don't know what I did before Al Gore invented it.

I justify some of my time online because it relates to food—I know what you're thinking, and I said "I" justify it; it's okay if you don't "get" that.

Below I've outlined a few things that have caught my attention lately. Know of something just as funny/quirky/cool? Tell us about it in the comments.

Portion control1. Produce and perishables from a vending machine
I'm trying to remember the last time I saw a vending machine—whenever that was, I'm sure it was filled with BabyRuth's and Cheetos. In several German towns, though, vending machines offer something different: fresh milk and dairy products, eggs, potatoes and sausage from a local farm.

Portion control2. Oversized portions - a gallery of the world's biggest foods
Some people say we're in a recession, and as a result, some businesses have cut back on portions (I'm looking at you, Crest toothpaste). Forget the Dow Jones, though—the real measure of economic health is...the size of our waste? C'mon, some of theses portions are just ridiculous.

3. Not your average bar trick

I've seen flip flops that can open a beer bottle, and I thought that was impressive. This, however, takes the cake (and speaks for itself).
