It's been an exciting week here at TasteFresno - we (the site minions) are grateful for all the positive feedback, constructive criticism and feature ideas that we've received. It's kept us busy, though, which means we're late on announcing these, but hopefully you won't hold that against us:
As an online community, TasteFresno relies on input from its members - in the form of restaurant reviews, recipes, comments. We don't like to get caught up on numbers, but we do recognize that some people share more than others. To encourage everyone's participation, we have a tasty giveaway for the member who creates the most content during the month of November: $100 to Trelio, generously offered by foodie extraordinaire Chris Shackelford.
If you've posted a comment this week, that counts. If you post a review next week, that counts. If you post a recipe at 11:59 p.m. on November 30, that counts. The totals will be weighted based on quality to discourage spam (since it's not a Fresno product, that is), and you have to be logged in - that's required for posting recipes and reviews, anyway, but it's the only way we can really keep tabs.
December 1 is a bit far off, so on Monday we'll randomly draw the name of someone who posts over the weekend (starting once this is published). Comments count, but if you're not logged in, make sure you use a real email address.
Oh, you want to know what that person receives? How about a pound of freshly-roasted Chiapas from Leo (aka Cafe Corazon).
We're also working on a t-shirt (the cool kind, that is), and will randomly draw a member's name for one of those over the weekend. (A member is someone who has created an account, but that's the only criteria.)
How's that for a start? We'll work on a few more ideas over the weekend.

The recipes are great to have! I like to combine ingredients from various Valley sources--Jasmine rice from Merced w/ fresh fish from Central, w/ fresh greens from the Market on the Mall, sourdough wheat bread from Charlottes/Tower, cheese from Bravo..and Lasgoity wine from Madera (and a Ficklin Port to finish)--
