Meet Robert and Laura. As they strolled through the Riverpark Farmers Market on a late Tuesday afternoon, the two enjoyed a day of fresh produce and live entertainment.
Because they live close to the outdoor shopping center, making a trip to the farmers market is a no-brainer. Not only is the farmers market more convenient, but Robert and Laura also find that it is less expensive than most nearby grocery stores. What makes the trip worthwhile?
“Definitely the tomatoes—and the environment,” the two reply as they look at the street performer playing the guitar and a clown entertaining the children, “It’s a lot more fun than the supermarket.”
After an afternoon of shopping, Laura holds a heaping bag of tomatoes and Robert, zucchini.
“We don’t have anything in particular we plan on making, but these vegetables are good for pretty much anything,“ they say with a smile.
In a salad, stir-fry, grilled, or raw, the produce at the Riverpark Farmers Market never disappoints.
