We recently met up with Gloria Burrola (not pictured). During the hot summer months, she makes sure to stock up on her favorite fruits and vegetables. When her favorite recipes call for fresh produce, she only makes one stop: The Orange Store.
“The location is convenient, but I would come even if it wasn’t,” Burrola states, “they have the best tomatoes in town.”
Burrola thrives by eating healthy and buying organic produce. For her, The Orange Store is perfect. She loves making Caprese Salad with a bounty of tomatoes and fresh mozzarella—great especially on a summer day. Although Burrola loves eating organically, she mentions some of the foods that she buys that aren’t organic.
“The avocadoes here are delicious, and they don’t necessarily have to be organic,” Burrola smiles, “I enjoy making homemade guacamole…it’s very simple.”
With tons of recipes on the Internet, guacamole is a fast and yummy summer snack. If you don’t want to search for the perfect recipe online, Burrola shares her technique: taste testing. She loves mixing different vegetables in her guacamole to see the different flavors she can make—but she always trusts The Orange Store’s produce to make her recipes delicious.
Great location, great service, and great produce; stop by The Orange Store on Shaw and Maroa today.
