Gluhwein
Description
According to the recipe card, gluhwein is a "hot, spiced wine...German style."
Ingredients
- 1/2 gallon burgundy wine
- 1 apple, sliced
- 1 orange, sliced
- 3-4 sticks cinnamon
- 3-4 whole cloves
- Sugar, to taste
Instructions
Simmer all ingredients over low heat, until completely heated (and flavors have a chance to mingle).
To serve, place a lemon slice in a cup and pour the mixture over it (as the lemon floats to the top, it acts as a strainer).
