Like many families, our Thanksgiving tradition centers around turkey, cranberry sauce, ham, stuffing, mashed potatoes, and pumpkin pie. But following this feast is another, this time featuring turkey tamales and cranberry salsa—our twist on tradition. Depending on the amount eaten on Thanksgiving, cooked leftover turkey can be used, but I favor starting from scratch, preferably the day after Thanksgiving when suddenly the price of turkey drops in half.
