Here’s a quick lesson in Mexican Spanish slang -michelada can be broken down into three components mi chela helada, which literally translates to English as “my ice-cold beer.” There are several stories out there of the true origins of the Michelada one things for sure no matter where it came from it sure is delicious.

Ingredients

 

  1.  Mexican beer of choice such as Corona, Dos Equis, Modelo, Tecate you can use an american beer such as Bud Light or Budwieser
  2. Crushed Ice
  3. Salt
  4. Tajin
  5. Tapatio Salsa
  6. 1 Whole Lime
  7. Spicy or Regular Clamato

Instructions

  1. Fill a tall glass about half full of crushed ice make sure you use a tall enough glass to hold the entire contents of beer as well as having enough room for ice and clamato
  2. Add a few dashes of salt 
  3. Add a few dashes of Tajin spice www.amazon.com/Tajin-Fruit-Snack-Seasoning-5-7/dp/B0000GL6RK This can be found at your local grocery in the mexican/spanish isle.
  4. Add a few dashes of Tapatio Salsa over ice and on sides of glass
  5. Squeeze an entire lime over the ice 
  6. Pour roughly a 1/2 cup to 3/24 of a cup Clamato Juice over contents in glass
  7. Slowly pour contents of beer over ingredients
  8. Use a long spoon or a stir stick to slowly mix the ingredients
  9. Drink and repeat as necessary
