Caramel Fudge Cake

Ingredients

  • 18 ¼ oz. pkg. chocolate cake mix 
  • ½ cup margarine
  • 14-oz. pkg. caramels, unwrapped
  • 14-oz. can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup chopped pecans

Instructions

Prepare cake according to package directions; pour 2 cups of batter into a greased 13X9-inch baking pan.  Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes; set aside.  In a saucepan, melt margarine and caramels; remove from heat.  Add milk; stir well.  Pour over cake; spread remaining cake batter over caramel mixture.  Sprinkle with pecans; bake for an additional 30 minutes.  Cool before serving.
