Grandma's Fudge

I think this came from a newspaper column that my grandmother clipped. It comes out perfect every time, and couldn't be easier!

Ingredients

4 ½ cups sugar

1 large can evaporated milk

8 oz. miniature marshmallows

3 6-oz. packages of chocolate chips

½ cup butter or margarine

2 cups broken nut meats

1 tsp. vanilla

Instructions

In a heavy, large saucepan, bring sugar and evaporated milk slowly to a rolling boil.  Let it boil no longer than eight minutes.  Remove from heat and add marshmallows, chocolate chips, and butter or margarine.  Stir until melted.  Add nuts and vanilla.  Spread on a large ungreased pan when cool, cut into squares.
