Baby Ruth Bars

Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup margarine
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup crunchy peanut butter
  • 4 cups quick oats
  • 1/4 cup white Karo syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 6 ounces butterscotch
  • 6 ounces chocolate chips
  • 2/3 cup peanut butter
  • 1 cup salted peanuts

Instructions

Melt margarine. Pour over brown sugar, crunchy peanut butter, oatmeal, syrup, and vanilla. Mix thoroughly. Pat in 9x13 pan. Bake at 400 degrees for 12 minutes. Do not overbake.

Melt chocolate chips in a double boiler, stirring constantly. Let cool slightly. Add peanut butter and peanuts. Spread on top of crust. Let cool and then cut.
