Nita's Rye Bread

Ingredients

3 cups warm water
1/4 cup shortening
1 1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup molasses
2 packages dry yeast
2 cups rye flour
2 1/2 cup white flour

Instructions

mix first six ingredients together by hand or mixer. Let stand 10 or 15 minutes. Add rye flour and white flour. Let rise and make into loaves. Bake at 375 degrees for 45 minutes.
