When I was little my grandma would watch me and my brothers after school. On the way home we would often stop at the local butcher shop to get dried roast beef. When we would get home she made us roast beef sandwiches on these buns. To this day I crave those sandwiches. It reminds me of home and being a kid.
put the yeast in luke warm water. Add melted lard, sugar, salt, and beaten eggs. Add the flour - enough flour to make the dough soft, but not sticky. Knead. Start at 5 pm then knead every hour until 10 pm. Make into buns. Cover buns overnight with cloth and plastic so they don't dry out before baking. Be careful not to bump or jar for they are very light. Bake in the AM at 350 degrees.
