Easy Chile Verde

Posted by meggymutt on Jan 31, 2010

This is a great redipe to make in the middle of the work week and there are a variety of ways to serve it. You can wrap it up in burritos, tacos or serve it by itself with a side of rice and beans. If you would like to spice it up you can add in a small can of chopped jalapenos.

Ingredients

 1 Pork Loin

1-2 Jars of Verde Salsa (I use Trader Joe's Green Sauce)

1tsp Garlic Salt

1tsp Ground Black Pepper

1tsp Ground Kosher Salt

Instructions

Before I go to work in the morning I take out a pork loin and put it in a crock-pot. I sprinkle the pork loin with garlic salt, ground pepper and salt. You can add more depending on the taste you are trying to achieve. Pour on the salsa verde enough to cover. Set crock-pot on low 6-7 hrs or until pork can be easily shredded with a fork.

Perhaps try El Pato sauce! You can get it at most grocery stores. http://www.mexgrocer.com/1275.html
