In my household, we drink Bloody Marys every Sunday. When I read about the Fresno Chile festival, I knew I wanted to incorporate the Chiles into a drink. Originally, I had planned on some sort of Bloody Mary. This recipe came to me in the shower.
2 Fresno Chiles
1 Cup Tomato Juice
2 Key Limes - cut in half.
Salt
Tequila
Cut the stems off the Chiles but leave the seeds in. Put Chiles and Tom Juice in blender. Liquefy.
Put Salt on a plate. For each drink use a Low-ball glass, lightly rub a Key Lime around the edge of the glasses. Dip edge in Salt.
Fill with Ice.
For each glass: add 3 ounces of Tequila, 4 ounces of Chile Tom mix, then squeeze in both halves of Key Lime.
Stir. Drink. Repeat
