Fudgy Brownies

Ingredients

  • ¾ C. (1 ½ sticks) unsalted Butter 
  • 4 Eggs
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • ¼ tsp. salt   
  • 1 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup walnuts, coarsely chopped (optional)
  • 4 squares (1 oz. each) unsweetened chocolate, chopped

Instructions

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Line bottom of 15x10x1-inch jelly roll pan with foil.  Coat foil with cooking spray.  Melt butter and chocolate in saucepan over medium-low heat.  Beat eggs, sugar, vanilla, and salt in bowl on high speed until thick, approximately 3 minutes.  Fold in chocolate, then flour and nuts.  Spread in prepared pan.  Bake in 20 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out with fudgy crumbs attached.
