Hot Chicken Salad Ring

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cup cooked chicken, diced 
  • 1 (8oz.) can crushed pineapple, drained
  • 1/3 cup mayonnaise  
  • ¼ cup diced celery
  • ¼ cup diced green pepper 
  • ¼ cup chopped almonds
  • ¾ tsp. salt   
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 1 can 8 crescent rolls  
  • 1 egg beaten

Instructions

Combine chicken, mayonnaise, celery, green pepper, and almonds.  Add salt and pepper and set aside.  Separate crescent rolls.  On a greased cookie sheet arrange triangle bases in a circle (with approximately 3 in a diameter) overlapping them and narrow tips pointing outward.  Spoon chicken salad in a ring around bases packing firmly to insure ring shape.  Fold tips of rolls over filling and tuck under ring.  Brush with beaten egg.  Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes until golden.  Serve hot.
