Red Beans & Rice

Many of my family members are from Louisiana - this dish runs through our blood.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. smoked or Andouille Sausauge
  • 1 pound beans
  • 1 bunch green onions
  • 1 large bell pepper
  • 1 large onion
  • Dash of tobasco
  • Dash cayenne pepper
  • Dash black pepper

Instructions

Soak the beans overnight.

Chop up all vegetables and sausage. Sautee vegetables in a skillet with sausage last.

Put everything in a crockpot or dutch oven and cook for at least 6 hours in water.
