So it turns out that writing restaurant reviews around lunch time makes you even more hungry. This is especially true for me while writing about Eureka Burger.
I have been to Eureka burger four times. Each time I have truly enjoyed this restaurant. I have eaten twice, and I have gone for beer twice. Eureka Burger is a great location for after work meetings. Its casual, yet chic decor with warm rich colors has made this place a destination for me.
So lets talk about beer. The beer selection at Eureka is just... wow. They have easily become one of the best locations for beer in town in a hurry with over 20 beers on tap and even more in bottles. What makes their beer selection even better is its uniqueness. Eureka specializes in craft brews and they do not disappoint. With beer from craft breweries all over, it is difficult to not find a beer you will enjoy.
Their other specialty? Gourmet burgers. They offer some of the most unique burgers you will find here in Fresno and they are delicious. My first time visiting Eureka I had the Fresno Fig Burger. They describe it like this: Homemade fig marmalade, melted goat cheese, crispy bacon, garnished with minced tomato, onion and arugula dolloped in a spicy porter mustard. Yep, that is a mouthful, but it is a mouthful of deliciousness! Their burger menu also features such items as the Tortilla Burger, The Italian Caprese Burger (pictured below,) The Pearl Street Blues Burger & the San Joaquin Veggie Burger.
Beer & burgers are not all they do here though, they also have starters, (see the Mac N' Cheese skillet below) salads, sandwiches & one of the most crazy dessert dishes you will ever try. It is pictured below but it is essentially honey cured bacon topped with melted chocolate, walnuts and caramel and garnished with fresh mint.
You simply must try this place. Yes, you will pay a little more for the burgers than many chain restaurants but not much more and a few extra coins is well worth it for the taste of the burgers. I do not think you will be disappointed in Eureka!

I totally agree. As a vegetarian, I generally go to burger joints to see my friends with very low expectations of the food. I was blown away by Eureka Burger. For once, I did not get a frozen patty from a box. I had the beet patty (and I don't like beets, but this was great) on the Fresno Fig burger. Very good. Fries were fantastic too.

Early reports on the beet burger were split - some saying it was undercooked and soggy - but this is one of several enthusiastic recommendations I've heard for it lately. I'm a meat-lover, but I may have to give it a try.

Totally. Sarah got the beet burger last time we were there and it was great. And I usually hate veggie patties!
