So I think of myself somewhat as a deli sandwich connoisseur of sorts. There is certainly a pecking order in the Fresno/Clovis area. Several months ago, I had heard several friends raving about how good this sandwich place was in Clovis. PCH Subs is located off of Herndon & Fowler and is in a shopping center parking lot. The decor inside is beach and costal themed. The staff are friendly and very helpful.
The sandwich I would say was above average. Now I understand that food is completely subjective and for me a great sandwich starts with the bread. The bread at PCH Subs really wasn't as good as I was hoping. The other ingredients in the Turkey & Salami sandwich were really quite good. A lot of their meats are sliced as you order the sandwich which I like. They serve hot and cold sandwiches and possibly one of the best features of PCH is their beer selection. You don't typically get to pair a good sandwich with beer but PCH has a decent small selection of beers on tap and they also had seasonal selections as well.
The price was also a bit steep in my opinion. You can expect to pay $7-$10 if you want to get out of there feeling full. Overall, if I was in the area, I would go back to PCH Subs but it really isn't a place I would drive for.

I tried this the other day and wasn't really impressed. I mean, it beats the national sandwich chains, but doesn't come close to Geno's or even Deli Delicious. Maybe I'll try a hot sandwich next time! Or better yet, enjoy it with a beer!
