Nee Nee's Fruit Ice Cafe

Reviewed by cambriana62 on Mar 21, 2011

What's it like?

Right after trying Harlem Wing & Waffle, on that same rainy Sunday, we decided we needed dessert, so we walked across the way to Nee Nee's. We were the only customer in the place (it was cold and wet, not iced dessert weather), and were immediately greeted by the owner. She asked if it was our first time and we said yes but that we were excited to try it. We chose quickly, I had the passion fruit ice fusion with Dole pineapple soft serve, and my daughter had the black cherry ice fusion with vanilla soft serve. There are a lot of flavors and combinations to choose from! You can have your fruit ice or soft serve in a cup, on a cone, as a fusion mixed together, layered, or in little melonball sized balls. Mine was tangy, tart, not too sweet.. my daughter's was creamy, and tasty.. the fruit flavors in both were outstanding. The only drawback was the price, for the regular size, each was nearly 5 dollars.. pricey for the amount you get. They also serve Nathan's hot dogs and sausages (if you've never had them, you MUST try them because they outshine other hot dogs).
I'd recommend going there for a splurge, because it is so tasty.
