Diana's Restaurant

Reviewed by dmzlucka on Nov 10, 2009

What's it like?

Even though Diana's is in a strip mall, wedged between Guilia's and AAA Relaxation Station, it is a tranquil spot serving wonderful, tasty Armenian food.  i was surprise to see nearly every table was full (in the economy - that's fabulous).  According to our waitress, many of the guests were regulars.  We soon found out why!  After a mixed plate of starters (all very good -- loved the stuffed grape leaves), my husband ordered the fish kabobs (moist, wonderful grilled salmon with just a touch of sumac) and a greek salad.  My choice (a brave one for a new restaurant) was the chicken (which can be dry or tough).  They were outstanding.  The golden brown chunks were perfectly seasoned, tender and juicy.  By far the best chicken kabobs I've had in Fresno!  We topped dinner off with a little Turkish coffee (just like my Grandmother would make) and some homemade Baklava.  Truly delicious!  I can't wait to go back and try their lentil soup!!
