Rio Brazilian Steak House

What's it like?

We started out our evening in the bar, while waiting for a table.  Glasses of wine were reasonably priced, and there is a full bar available.  We were told it would be about a 15 minute wait, but we were seated in about 5.  Good start.  As soon as the waitress came to our table she let us know how things worked and we should start by going to the buffet and getting our plates.  The buffet had an interesting mix of items, some note worthy ones include the Calliflower Au Gratin, the potato salad, decent salad bar, a mushroom salad (had lots of yummy stuff in it), and rice and black beans.  After filling our plates we made our way back to our table and began eating.  Then the servers come to each table with various meats that are cut off the skewer onto your plate.  To say there is a lot of meat is an understatement.  There are at least 5 different kinds of steak, all tender and flavorful, lamb, chicken, shrimp, pork, sausage, bacon wrapped turkey, and grilled pineapple.  It's all you can eat, so make sure you've got room.

Another nice thing, is we were able to find a resteraunt.com gift certificate that gave us $25 dollars off, which is nice as the buffet costs $23 for the full rodizio.  They do have cheaper options that are not all you can eat, starting at around $10.00.  A lot of the time the restaurant.com gift certificates have a limit you have to spend before they become valid, but Rio just requires you purchase two meals.  So, a dinner that would have cost us over $65, was only around $40, well worth the money for the experience.

This restaurant is really good. I would agree with everything that Greg said. They also have cheaper options @ lunch. I would also add that the grilled pineapple is wonderful also.
