Bistro Rustico

What's it like?

Kim and I wanted to celebrate recent promotions at work, and after tasting the butternut squash raviolis that Varouj was sampling at last Saturday’s farmers market, we invited two other couples to join us for dinner Friday. Our experience was overwhelmingly positive.

The restaurant was half-full, at most, when we arrived at 7:00. While we waited for the rest of our party, I watched as Vsarouj and his wife, Dee, stopped to talk with each table.

The service was friendly and attentive. The timing of the food would not be conducive to a quick meal, but it was perfect for our group. Every bite was delicious.

Kim had the lamb shank, which was hearty and tender. I had the pork tenderloin, and though it wasn’t cooked medium (as I had been told it would), it was delicious; the pomegranate sauce really balanced the smoky flavor.
