Fresno Breakfast House

Reviewed by jamescollier on Sep 12, 2008

What's it like?

Today I discovered that there are two Fresno Breakfast Houses. The one I thought I was supposed to be at is located in the Pavilion West shopping center at Bullard and West; the one I actually needed to be at is at Ashlan and First. Any guesses which one is nicer?

I don't actually know if the owners are the same. They both serve a good breakfast, but the Ashlan and First location is much older, and worse for the wear.

Since I was about 20 minutes late to my meeting, the rest of my group had ordered, though they informed me that coffee was...well..."serve yourself." Evidently, the staff had to call the police on someone, and from what I saw there was only one server working the entire restaurant (which wasn't exactly full).

Anyway, the coffee's good, as is the French toast combo: 4 half-slices of French toast, eggs and sausage. I don't care for margarine, which is what was served with the syrup, and my food took a very long time (again, we think they were under-staffed), but overall I was still happy with my French toast.

Next time I'll request that the meeting be moved to the location I show at first.
