Last Sunday a group of us gathered for lunch after church. One suggested sushi, so we headed north to Samurai Sushi at Cedar and Shepherd. Turns out they don't open until 2:30 p.m. on Sundays, so we backtracked to Sendai (which we last visited in June).
Neither Kim or I were in the mood to stuff ourselves on all-you-can-eat, so she ordered udon noodles with tempura shrimp and I ordered a roll with salmon and spicy tuna (the name escapes me, but it was delicious). Kim had never tried udon before this visit, and was a bit surprised by the thickness and texture of the noodles, so I'm not sure that's something she'll eat again, though Sendai's broth was quite savory.
I'd like to think that the restaurant staff treats all customers the same, but we felt our server was a bit warmer to us, compared to those in the group who ordered all-you-can-eat (which I assume nets less money, on average, than ordering by the roll). We also noted that the restaurant is a bit stingy with refills, and our friends eating the Tiger Roll (uber spicy) may have left a bit heated (poor pun intended).
We trust the sushi here, so we'll be back, but I think next time we'll come for lunch during the week, when the all-you-can-eat menu is only $12.95(!).

I like the sushi here, but I made the mistake of ordering the all-you-can-eat on a Friday night, which was $20. I had maybe two different rolls (philly roll and something with tuna in it)and was full and definitely did not get my money's worth. Still what I did have was good, just didn't realize I would get full quick.
They were also stingy with the refills with me and my friend that night, had to ask several times for a refill. Not my favorite place to eat sushi, but if someone wants to go there I wouldn't say no.

If you're going for the buffet, it's all about the appetizer and dessert. We get edamame, and then finish it off with the green tea ice cream.
But I'm with you - we don't go there much anymore, but if we're with friends that pick it, we won't protest.
