If the opening weekend is any indication (and it never really is), Tower Dogs is positioned as a promising addition to the Tower scene. Twitter folk are practically giddy over the place.
I walked over with a friend last night about 8:00. At the time there was no one waiting in line, though a few patrons were scattered about; I heard foot traffic picked up later in the evening.
Though it's bright and clean inside, there are no tables for eating—they're only outside, along the sidewalk. But the hot dogs are served in styrofoam trays so they can be easily transported.
To the point: Tower Dogs has a simple business model, and they're focused on one thing. It's kind of hard to screw that up. They're offering late hours, and an alternative to fast food for those looking to eat and run. Hopefully that helps them survive (and thrive) after the initial wave of excitement wears off (because it will).
Regarding price, I've heard/read several comments suggesting that it may be a bit high. Honestly, I don't know what to compare it to. I ordered the Average Joe (relish, onion and mustard), which costs $3.00. Seems pretty reasonable. The most expensive option is $4.75, and that comes loaded with bacon and avocado. I do hope they add fountain drinks (can sodas and bottles of Gatorade and water only, for now); it's promised on the menu as part of a combo deal, after all. Though it doesn't concern me, I did hear another patron request that a vegan option for chips be added to complement the Tower Vegan.

I ate at Tower Dogs the other day and ordered the Chicago Style hot dog. I've eaten one in Chicago and thought he did a good job of staying true to the ingredients. I recommended he research the Puka dogs sold in Hawaii as another addition!
