Tower Dog is perhaps Tower Districts only late night eatery (till 3am Friday and Saturday). It only hosts a few tables, but it has a ever expanding menu of unusual hot dog combinations, some you can only get at certain times. Be warned if you go during the later hours you'll run in to the aftermath of the bars letting out. But I found it fun to be sober and witnessing every stereotype. The staff is friendly and patient with everyone, though I've heard rumors of bad service before. The Food is good.. with California Dog (avacado and Bacon), and Last Call Dog being the favorites (Last Call was one they used to have only at certain times, but by popular request they opened throughout the day, comes with hashbrowns, scrambled eggs, and Nacho Cheese or Gravy), I still think it's need bacon bits, but I digress. Pastrami Dog is good. Price per some of the special dogs is about 5 bucks, they have specials from time to time, but as far as Tower goes for good food you'll get no cheaper. One thing I like about a sitting at the tables on the outside is people watching while you eat, the Tower Natives provide a Ambience all their own.. So my overall thought is expand more into the specialty dogs, the hours are great as we in Tower don't have a late night eatery, and that's about you can do beyond getting more table seating but they don't ahve the room.. Good food, good price and entertainment provided by watching the neighborhood live around you.

they are good but i think the prices are to high for a hot dog. $5 dog $1 drink chips and tax $7 to $8 dollars for a 1 dog meal.

Hm....that does sound like a bit much for hot dogs

One other choice for late dining: Million Elephant is open until 3am on the weekends as well.

True it's not cheap, but as far as Tower District food prices it's about as cheap as your going to get any real quality food.

I love this place. I've taken several different people there. It is something that is so unique and I love all the different combinations they've come up with. The prices? Eh, I don't find them so bad. $4.75-ish before tax.. close in price to a cup of coffee from Starbucks. *shrug* Bottom line: fun food, fun atmosphere, fun people.
