The only thing really lacking in this restaurant is ambiance - but if you love good food and are on a budget, you will love Julia's! I almost did not review it here, since I don't want the place to be "found" by anyone since it is already crowded for lunch daily and especially on weekends! The Mexican food is authentic and makes me long to head south of the border, the prices are almost criminal, they are so low! Service is fantastic!

I love Julia's for breakfast! Amazing huevos rancheros, homestyle chicken soup, and chilaquiles (my favorite). We have also had the breakfast burritos which are stuffed to the gills with eggs, beans, potatos, and your choice of meat.
And don't forget to add some of their amazing salsa. When you first get there, they will give you a salsa which is more like pico de gallo. Ask for the red salsa and you will get a spicy chipotle-based red salsa that is out of this world! They may also have a green salsa, but my favorite is the red.
If you can get a seat near the kitchen, it is fun to watch all the women in the kitchen making the food. You can tell they have been working together for awhile because they share the space so well.
And the prices are so low, I feel like I am cheating them! Seriously, the breakfast plate is like $4 and you can't eat it all.
