Palomino's

Reviewed by jamescollier on Dec 29, 2007

What's it like?

Creative Fresno held its annual meeting at Palomino's, who graciously offered an enclosed space for us. A prix fixe menu was offered - I'm not sure if it reflects the regular menu - but I had the Tuscan chicken: grilled chicken served over mashed potatoes with mushrooms and sun-dried tomatoes. Yum.

I overheard several other comments, as well (which is pretty easy in a room with 35 other people). It seemed a bit pricey - again, not sure if that's reflective of the regular menu - and the service was slow, but I'm certain that's because of the size of our group, and since offering it was a sign of support for Creative Fresno, it was nice just to have the space.

I definitely look forward to trying out the main dining room.

Moral Threat  |  Wed, 2009-11-11 00:43

Was there back in Oct. 2009 for the monthly Fresno Filmmakers Alliance mixer and despite all the times I have ordered a drink there, I have never eaten anything from their menu.

They were nice enough to put out some appetizers, and one was polanta (which I am not fond of even though I am half Italian). Well my hunger got the best of me and I tried a bit and was pleasantly surprised and actually liked it. The rest of the apps were equally good making me want to come back some day and try ordering something of the menu.
